The 3rd Annual Lincoln Park Music Festival will be held this year from Friday, July 25 – Sunday, July 27. This year’s festival will celebrate the City of Newark’s favorite musical genres, jazz, gospel, house and hip-hop. Food and merchandise vendors will be available in addition to a Green Vendor Marketplace, sponsored by Home Depot, educating festival goers about environmentally friendly products. Children’s activities will include our annual skateboarding clinic, a double-dutch clinic, basketball clinic and golfing clinic. Best of all…it’s all free. So dress comfortably, bring your water bottle, chairs and blankets and prepare to have a good time with us as we celebrate the true spirit of our great City.
The Lincoln Park Music Festival seeks to become a carbon neutral festival. Beginning this year, we will take steps to produce an environmentally friendly event. The goal for our 2008 festival is to encourage festival goers to reduce their carbon footprint by taking public transporation. (A carbon imprint is the amount of energy consumed when traveling.)
