Back together again...MKL, Jay Locke and Jaecyne Howell.
After the incredible event, "Close Your Eyes" last month, where the vibe was positively intoxicating, MoonRisingNYC and Lion1Music once again bring you an equally hypnotic journey at the intimate Sapphire Lounge.
On Monday, March 1, 2010, "Open Your Eyes...A Provocative Affair" will continue the vibe that Jay and MKL so mindfully induced, only this time they will tap directly into the provocative side of your mind, the sexy side of your body and the sensual side of your soul. What will be presented is at once eclectic and unpredictable, so be prepared to be swept away by musical treats that are new to the ear.
Continuing in the theme of sensuality, the night will also be a celebration of the exhibit and launch of Jaecyne's book, "black . | a sensual experience."
If you'd like a little taste before the book launch, go to "Buy The Book" in the links above.
Monday nights have never been sexier.

"Close Your Eyes" is an interactive photography and dance experience inspired by the work of famed artist, Ernie Barnes (the artist of the painting featured on the television show, "Good Times"). "Close Your Eyes" showcases the work of underground photographer Jaecyne Howell (MoonRisingNYC.com) and the hypnotically deep and eclectic sounds of NYC veterans Jay Locke (DanceTracks/Lion1Music/Soul People Music) and MKL (Lion1Music) and serves to bring Mr. Barnes' exquisitely emotional painting "Sugar Shack" to life.
The installation will also debut a new choreographic work by Desiree Godsell & Lia McPherson entitled "Drum Major Instinct" set to the moving MLK speech mix by DJ Marshallito.
"We are blind to each others humanity" said Mr. Barnes, appropriate for the event being held at Littlefield in Brooklyn on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s holiday. Look forward to lush, eye-closing tracks, but keep them open for the beautiful visuals you'll be dancing with.
